Lisa was born and raised in Northern New York. After graduating summa cum laude from the State University of New York at Plattsburgh Lisa moved to Houston to attend law school at the University of Houston Law Center. While in law school Lisa had a one-year internship with the Family Criminal Law Division of the Harris County District Attorney’s Office. This opportunity allowed Lisa to gain experience representing victims of family violence to obtain protective orders against their abusers. This was an invaluable experience that introduced Lisa to the Family Court System and was the deciding factor in her decision to focus her practice toward family law matters exclusively. Lisa liked Houston so much she never left. Instead she settled in, married, and is raising two little Texans of her own. Lisa maintains her own law practice where she focuses exclusively on family law matters, as well as serving as Of Counsel with the Sullo firm.
