· If a hip dislocation occurred after Stryker revision surgery, the patient could be eligible for $25,000-$75,000 in enhancements;
· If the patient suffers destruction to the abductors as a result of metallosis, requiring reattachment or mending, the patient may be eligible for $75,000 in enhancements.
· Infection related to revision surgery could qualify patients for $30,000-$75,000 in enhancements; if the infection was severe enough to require nursing facility confinement, $15,000-$60,000 the patient could qualify for an additional $15,000-$60,000 in enhancement award.
· The development of foot drop after Stryker revision surgery (or re-revision surgery) could qualify the patient for enhancement payments from $20,000-$288,000. The exact amount is dependent upon the patient’s age and the level of severity of foot drop.
· Antibiotic IV treatment which the patient was forced to undergo for six weeks or longer which is directly related to Stryker revision surgery may qualify the patient for $10,000 in enhancement payments.
· Patients who suffered a pulmonary embolism while in the hospital for Stryker revision surgery could receive $20,000-$35,000 in enhancements.
· Patients who suffered a stroke while in the hospital for Stryker revision surgery could be eligible for $85,000-$516,000. The exact amount will depend on the patient’s age at the time of the stroke as well as the severity of the stroke.
· If the replacement implant the patient received following their Stryker revision surgery had to be removed because of loosening or infection, the patient could qualify for as much as $175,000 in enhancement payments.
· If a patient suffered a heart attack while hospitalized for Stryker revision surgery, the patient could qualify for $66,000-$360,000 in enhancements. The exact amount is dependent on the patient’s age at the time of the heart attack as well as the severity of the heart attack.
· Patients who require re-revision surgery are eligible to receive $175,000 for the first re-revision surgery and $100,000 for each additional re-revision surgery.
· Death while hospitalized for any surgery related to the failure of a Stryker Rejuvenate or ABGII could qualify the dependents of the deceased to $100,000-$600,000. The exact amount of enhancements will depend on the age of the patient at the time of his or her death as well as the number of dependents.
· Qualified claimants who lost wages due to a Stryker revision or re-revision surgery may be eligible for lost wages equaling 20% of their annual income for two years prior to Stryker revision surgery (not to exceed $200,000).
