Originally from Oregon, Kathryn moved to Texas in 1997 to attend Texas Christian University where she majored in International Communication (through the school’s journalism department) and minored in Spanish. After graduation, she worked for several years as a marketing manager at a boutique advertising agency in Southlake, Texas.
In 2004, Kathryn started law school at the University of Houston. There, Kathryn was involved in the Moot Court program participating in oral arguments in various competitions across the country. During law school, she also clerked at The O’Quinn Law Firm assisting with medical malpractice cases and transportation litigation.
After graduation, Kathryn began a fellowship which became a full-time position in the Family Law section of Lone Star Legal Aid (“LSLA”). The majority of her docket at LSLA centered on litigation for the protection of domestic violence victims.
