Shortly after the Stryker Urgent Field Safety Notice (July, 2012), Stryker issued a recall of the Rejuvenate and ABGII. The recall listed many of the same issues as the Stryker Urgent Field Safety Notice, however at this time Stryker declined to state a firm failure rate for the recalled hip implants. Those who have not yet experienced problems with a recalled Stryker hip implant could have a chance of developing problems in the future.

Over 600 lawsuits have been filed against Stryker in New Jersey...As of January, 2014, the same New Jersey state court announced plans to send 10 Stryker hip lawsuits to mediation. Stryker announced in October that as much as $1.1 billion dollars would be set aside for ABGII and Rejuvenate-related Stryker hip implant litigation.

Following the recall of many metal hip implants, those implanted with a recalled Stryker Rejuvenate or ABGII hip device have questions regarding Stryker metal on metal poisoning symptoms.

The Stryker Rejuvenate hip implant device, along with the Stryker ABGII, was recalled in July, 2012. It was noted at the time the Stryker Rejuvenate was recalled that the device had a higher-than-normal risk of fretting and corrosion, particularly at the neck juncture and underneath the metal trunnions.
